Finally A Quick and Easy Project

The past few months I have been trying to deal with my “finds” in a more “timely manner”.  The garage became a big black hole and hadn’t seen a car in a month of Sundays.  So over this past winter I made a huge dent in my stockpile by hauling pieces into the breezeway  and working on them in there (not aesthetically pleasing but….ya gotta do what ya gotta do).

Now that the warmer weather has made an appearance, I’m trying my darnedest to stay on top of it.  Such is the case with this piece of vintage 70’s…. loveliness.

TV Cabinet
A definite walk-by.  Thank God for the ability to see past what something is and rather see it for what it could be.  Truth be told, I thought everyone had this ability but recently (on two occasions) I’ve had someone say to me “You have such an eye.”.  I was like “Huh?”.  I’m starting to get it though.  As in, some people are good at math and others are good at science.   For me, it’s all about good bones.  And white paint!

Much better!  Bought on a Saturday and in the shop by Wednesday!

  3. Wow that was fast. I saw on a blog today where she used pieces of those plastic garden edge fencing as decorative appliques on a dresser. They look just like the wood ones when painted with the dresser.

  4. You most certainly DO have a good eye! I would have walked right past that thing. Now it looks like a piece that would work in any room in the house. Great job Maureen, and please show us all of the other pieces you've been working on too!
