Holiday Entertaining – The Vintage Way - VTT

After a summer of no yard sales (by choice),  I’ve certainly been making up for it in the last few weeks.  Church sales, estate sales, you name it.   Last Saturday I went to an estate sale with no expectations.  Now it’s funny what happens when you have no expectations……my SUV was packed to the rafters!   (I even sent my husband back the next day to pick up a new washing machine!)

I’m gradually organizing, fixing, painting and taking pictures of my new finds.   With the holidays coming I was on the look-out for Shiny Brites but no such luck.  The only holiday related item I found was this….

Egg Nog Set 2
Egg Nog Set CLOSE
A carnival-glass Egg Nog set.  I thought it was pretty cool and I’ve never seen one before.

Egg Nog Set BOTTOM In excellent condition….until I got it home and broke one of the cups!  Someone else did the same thing before me as it now has 10 cups instead of the 12 that it started with!

I've haven't joined in a while but have missed participating in Suzanne's Vintage Thingy Thursday so am linking up this week.    It's always fun to see what others have.

  3. That punch set is a really great find Maureen, and I love how the bowl is even pretty on the bottom! Whoever buys it can have a nice intimate little holiday party, inviting no more than 9 guests!

  11. Beautiful set. The only ones you can find in our area are the white tom and jerry ones. Yours is very elegant. Thanks for sharing. ~~Sherry~~
